A 60 strong team of volunteers from across the sector offered their services for the duration of IoF Fundraising Convention 2016. The event benefited greatly from their enthusiasm and commitment and the Institute of Fundraising is now recruiting volunteers for 2017.
What are the rewards?
- FREE ENTRY to all three days of Convention as well as meals (and accommodation where necessary).
- The opportunity to attend selected sessions on a range of fundraising topics and issues.
- Gaining valuable experience in team work and event management.
- Becoming an integral part of the largest fundraising event in Europe.
PLEASE NOTE: Volunteers are responsible for their own travel arrangements to and from the venue.
What does volunteering involve?
Volunteers will be asked to work on a voluntary basis for three and a half days from Sunday 2nd July to Wednesday 5th July 2017. With over 2,500 attendees across the three days, there's a lot to be done both in front of and behind the scenes, and volunteers carry out a number of vital duties in partnership with Institute staff. These include speaker liaison, registration, managing sessions, promoting membership, assisting delegates and much more.
When and how can I apply?
Apply now! The opportunity to make an application for volunteering at the 2017 Fundraising Convention will be available until Friday 7th April 2017.
Please only apply, by submitting the online application form below, if you are certain that you can commit to volunteering for the full duration, from lunchtime on Sunday 2nd July to early evening of Wednesday 5th July 2017, on a 24 hour basis.
(NB: Volunteer places are prioritised for Individual Members of the IoF, after which applications from small charities are considered. If you are not an Individual Member, but you are from a small charity (total annual income £1 million or less), please enter “Small charity” in this box)
If you have previously volunteered at Fundraising Convention, please state the last year of your involvement:
(NB: The IoF will only provide local accommodation to volunteers who live more than one hour’s commuting distance from the Barbican, and are willing to share a twin room with another volunteer. Anyone living within London Zones 1-9 will not qualify for accommodation)
