Missing People

 1. What do you most like about being on the Board?

Being on the Convention Board is a fantastic platform to support other people working in fundraising. My whole career has been spent working in fundraising, in many different streams and at organisations of various sizes and causes.

I’ve received support and guidance from countless people along the way and wouldn’t be where I am today without them. I’m delighted to be able to help other people to be the best they can be, and therefore raise as much as possible for their wonderful organisations.

2. What do you bring to the Board?

I bring a big love of colour coding to the philanthropy track  so many brightly coloured post it notes! Aside from that, through another role on the IoF Major Donor SIG Committee, I am constantly being asked questions like ‘how do we keep up with an ever changing donor base’ or ‘what’s the best way to use events to solicit and steward major donors?’.

By listening to the fundraising community and understanding what we are all finding challenging/what is and isn’t working, I can use Fundraising Convention as a professional, engaging and fun event where we look at questions just like these and leave at the end with new ideas for the future.

3. What are you looking forward to about this year’s Fundraising Convention?

I’m really looking forward to hearing from a diverse range of speakers on a diverse range of topics! We’ve worked hard to make every session as relevant for as many people as possible and I always look forward to learning new things.

I’m also looking forward to our plenary speakers, they always inspire me and remind me why I’m proud to be a fundraiser!
