1. What do you most like about being on the Board?

Being on the Board is a great opportunity to help shape exciting content for delegates at the annual Fundraising Convention.  It is also a great way to come together with peers across the sector and hear their thoughts and reflections about what are the key trends and issues we are addressing as a sector, as well as what people want to hear about and should be considering in pursuit of fundraising excellence.

It’s also fun. We work hard, but I get to work with some amazing colleagues in the Bigger Picture strand – Laurie Boult and Matt Cull – and we get on really well.

2. What do you bring to the Board?

I bring significant experience in fundraising, along with having worked on a few of the strands in the past.

I am truly passionate about fundraising and the role it plays in enabling our sectors to change people’s lives for the better. I also bring a voice that champions diversity and commitment to the convention and making it as good an event as we possibly can. We often have to curate sessions, so sector connections are also a valuable asset to bring to the board.

3. What are you looking forward to about this year’s Fundraising Convention?

I am looking forward to a jam-packed and exciting three days full of idea sharing and thought provoking discussion.

I am also excited to hear from our keynote speakers and spend time with colleagues across the sector, catching up with contacts and meeting new people.

I am also looking forward to seeing the fantastic team of volunteers at work delivering a great event – we can’t thank them enough for all that they do.
