Booking FAQs

If I book a place at Convention but later find out I am unable to attend, can someone take my place?

Yes.

The value of your booking will be transferred to the person taking your place. Please note that any resulting changes in the due delegate fee will have to be settled prior to the event. For example if you are a member of the IoF and therefore receive an IoF member discount but the person who is attending in your place is not, then the difference will have to be paid by midday on Friday 30th June. The request to make changes to your booking should be made in writing. Please email IoFconvention@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk

If I book a place to attend Convention on, for example, the Monday and Tuesday is it possible for me to change my booking so I can attend, for example the Monday and Wednesday?

Yes.

It is possible to change the days you attend Convention as long as there is still availability on the alternative days. The request to make changes to your booking should be made in writing by email to IoFconvention@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk by midday on Friday 30th June.

If I book a place at Convention for two or three days but cannot attend one or two of the days, can someone else take my place on the days I can't attend without changing my booking.

No.

Tickets are sold in the form of one, two or three day rates, if you cannot attend one or two of these days and wish for a colleague to attend part of Fundraising Convention in your place you will be charged the additional amount for the two separate bookings. For example if you book a 3 day pass at £769.50 and would like your colleague to attend one day the booking will be split into a two day pass at £553 and a one day pass at £337.50, the £121 difference will then apply to the new booking and will need to be paid before midday on Friday 30th June.

If I book a place at Convention but can only attend the morning, can I give my badge to a colleague so they can attend the afternoon sessions?

No.

For security and health and safety reasons it is prohibited for delegates to share badges.

I am not a member of the IoF but my organisation is; do I qualify for a discount?

No.

You can only qualify for a discount as an organisational member if you make a group booking of five or more people.

How late can I book?

Bookings can be made up until 5pm on Friday 30th June, or until places sell out, whichever is sooner.

What is the cancellation policy for Individual Bookings?

No refunds or credits will be made for cancellations received after 2nd June 2017. All cancellations must be received in writing by email to IoFconvention@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk
