Speaker Applications for 2019

Apply to speak at Fundraising Convention 2019!

Do you have an idea in your head that could form an engaging session or an exciting case study that your peers could learn from?

We welcome submissions from seasoned speakers and trainers as well as those who want to speak for the first time. The range of experience and insight our speakers offer is what makes Convention so special.

We are pleased to announce that this year we have two options. One is to submit a fully formed session proposal. The other is to submit a case study idea that a member of the Convention Board will help you to shape into a full session. If you choose this option, you will likely be paired with fundraisers from other charities with related case studies to deliver the final session.

Submission guidelines:

Session proposals are accepted via our online application portal. Submissions made via email will not be accepted. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation of receipt email. Should you not receive this email, please contact the team at iofconvention@institute-of-fundraising.org.uk

All submissions will need to be submitted by 9am on Monday 1st October 2018.  Late submissions will not be accepted.

Review process:

All submissions will be carefully reviewed and evaluated by our Convention Board.

Should your submission be selected, you will be contacted by the Convention Board during October and November. All successful and unsuccessful applicants will be informed by the first week in December.

What do we look for?

We aim for a strong balance of presentations from across the charity sector and beyond. We welcome applications from people working at all not for profit organisations, including the arts and education sectors, as well as from other sectors and overseas.

Our preference is for charity led sessions, supported by agencies but welcome examples from other sectors.

We believe that having a diversity of voices will make the sector and fundraising profession stronger and aim for this to be reflected in the sessions delivered at Fundraising Convention.

Please choose from the following options to submit your session idea no later than 9am on Monday 1st October 2018.

Option 1: I would like to put forward a complete session idea

Option 2: I have a case study I’d like to share
